Brinkley's Berries started a few years ago in the basement of Brooke Norton's house. She really started Brinkley's Berries by accident. After the birth of her daughter, she felt the drive to make clothing for her. Not knowing how to read a pattern at the time, she came up with her own. This process gave her the ability to create styles of her own and develop patterns to make them. The public started noticing the clothes and asked where they can get them. Once they knew that Brooke designed and made them, people started asking to get something made for their children. After she was overrun with orders, she decided to begin Brinkley's Berries.
After a few seasons, Brooke found Amy Valerio. Brooke and Amy became immediate friends with their love and passion for children's clothing design!! Amy, the former owner of Princess and the Toad, stumbled upon the Brinkley's Berries website when searching for clothing for her daughter. Knowing instantly that Brooke was very talented and had amazing designs Amy ordered clothing for her daughter and the friendship began! Falling in love with the clothing from Brooke, Amy added Brinkley's Berries to her collection. The line quickly became her number one best seller.
While the clothing line blossomed so did their friendship. Brooke and Amy talked at length every night about not only their businesses but their families, children and life in general. Brooke and Amy not only became amazing friends but had so much in common with their business goals and interests it only made sense to join businesses. Each bring specific talents and strengths to Brinkley's Berries. They launched their first line together in the fall of 2007. In season number two, having more fabrics than ever before, amazing designs and most importantly a strong friendship and solid business plan it is sure to be an overwhelming success.
